Journaling

This week was actually really nice! Low key - but like, still felt really good! Last week I mentioned taking smaller notes and this week I actually followed through with it! I fell down a little rabbit hole looking into notebooks - I almost bought myself a Hobonichi Techo w a July Start¹ to use as my own personal notebook, "to give it a bit more of a ritual" vs my current work notebook. But I ended up retrofitting and tweaking my work notebook to have BOTH my personal notes and my work notes in it! This was almost entirely due to $50 shipping, but I think it was for the best.

My notebook now has 3 sections:

1. Blue - Work related notes, Horizontal, todo list in/out format
2. Pink - Personal notes, Vertical, Dated + braindump format
3. White - Blank pages, any orientation, Dated + sketches

Like I noted last week: the whole point is zero friction. Keep it shrimple 🦐! I've been doing some cute pages by combining my receipt printer & stickers to print out pictures of the day or week and then sticking them down, colouring with markers. It's cute, and has really helped me reflect more on what I've gotten up to for these posts!

I haven't really thought too much abt digitisation yet, since it seems like overkill rn. But I do plan, at the end of this week, to do a bit of a TLDR for my work notes. Have the daily ones be ephemeral, and then just keep the TLDR stored somewhere. But we'll see!!

Otherwise, I had a great week. Spent lots of time yapping w friends. Ate a rlly yummy moon pear (that cost $5 ;;;) and I treated myself to a Hatsune Miku GT swimsuit figurine >:3c (can u tell I got paid this week lmao). I absolutely adore the fit on the figurine and am SOOOO envious of ppl who can wear swimsuits like that² and my ass NEEDS a big hat like that fr. It was rlly funny when I bought it, the store clerk was like "I love her tanlines and figure 🤓" and I hit him back w the "I rlly like the hat 🥺"³ LMAO.

OH also the inflatable tube is ACTUALLY INFLATABLE!! It's so cool :0

I also did some general arts & crafts shopping 4 stuff for my notebook. I got some nice highlighters and some more paper refills. I've got heaps of ideas for DIY/Craft projects ideas rn, but nothing actually set in stone. I need 2 learn to sew hehe.

Ended the week with a yummy dinner w some homies and lots of arcade sessions. Defs pulled something playing Gitadora but still had heaps of fun. Stayed up a little too late yapping with oomfs online too, but it was worth it :3c
