PAX & Melbourne
Writing this weeks post on the flight home from Melbourne! I had an insane week meeting with so many cool people and eating soooo much yummy food!
We stayed in Brunswick in a bnb that was honestly kinda mediocre, but it was nice stying like ... in a residential area and getting the vibe of the area. I definitely fuck with area hard, incl the surroundings & I defs wanna move there now. Honestly was telling most of the oomfs we met with that this time next year I'd like to be living in Melb. If that means rent or buy idk but its sooo much cheaper than Sydney & the vibes r like 100x better lol.
The first meetup w an oomf was Ashlynne who I've yaped with a lil on bsky and on the dollsys discord :3 we went for coffee and lunch, and it was super yummy, we mostly yapped abt puters and it was super fun!
That same night I met up with Aytems who I hadn't seen in a while, and we went for yummy dinner at Ca de Vin as well as drinks at a super cozy bar I rlly fw called Black Kite Commune. Four Pillars Yuzu Gin & Tonic my beloved.
I was still working while I was in melb so had a chill-ish weds, went pub I think w Alice who I was staying with.
Thursday I had off and I went on a date!!! It was with Aria who I've been rlly good oomfs w for almost a year now - was the first time meeting IRL and we went for a rlly cute brunch together & then went and chilled1 in a park :3 We then went back 2 her bnb and I met her bf & other gf. We played Mahjong till late and then I went back 2 my bnb.
The next day Alice had gotten a flu so we had a lowkey chill day. I went for brunch and coffee w Aytems & GGS and then we just kinda chilled around Melb 4 a little bit b4 meeting up with Zeli and one of her friends since she was an absolute GOAT and got Alice's, and I's PAX passes we left in Sydney by accident when rushing to our flight!! That night Aria & her gf Jasmine came back 2 our airBNB to help me look after Alice whose flu had got pretty bad. We made soup2!!!
Saturday was our PAX day~ we got in a little late but still managed to meetup w every1, check out some cool indie games like Key Fairy & hang out playing board games @ the PAX together area !! We watched one talk abt indie devs and it was pretty chill. Defs wanna do a 3-day pass next year !!
Our last day was pretty chill, Alice and I went for brunch w Jasmine which was super yummy and then after dropping Alice back at the bnb her and I went in2 the city 2 chill. Was v fun!! Ended the whole trip w Pub w/ Alice later that night and then flew home today <3
Defs keen to go back ASAP &/ move there!!!
