TLDR; Disable SBOM indexing on Docker Desktop.
I’d been recently having an issue with Docker on v4+ where containers would suddenly lose their networking. They’d just - disconnect from everything. It’d be completely random and there would be no way to fix it other than restarting docker entirely.
I found this GitHub thread that has been closed - with one comment at the bottom:
So, we identified that this issue occurs when the “SBOM Indexing” option is enabled in the docker runtime settings. When we disabled this option we no longer suffered from the cluster network connectivity issues
Thank you Ohadoc100, this has fixed my main issue with Docker on my macOS server.
