Its 3am right now. I just finished
re-writing almost all of my Bash script for generating this
website in Rust…
I don’t think I get any speed increases, however I’ve learned something new. Which is all that matters. (Cope)
I think I broke RSS timestamps though. Dates are fine, its just the time shows up wrong for some reason. Makes me look like I work at degenerate hours (I do). Not sure how to go about fixing that but it’s fine for now. Not a major priority.
I don’t know how I feel about Rust right now. It feels
super verbose. But coming from Typescript I feel like
anything low level will feel “Verbose”.
Regardless, It’s nice to sort of know what I’m doing. I don’t feel the most comfortable yet but I can see myself growing to like it more. I just need to learn a bit more about how all the types & stuff work.
